Aris Akritidis is a London-based photographer and director working across hair, beauty, fashion, portrait and documentary photography.

For fifteen years his core work has been campaign and editorial imagery for the hair and beauty industry: product launches, collections and brand campaigns for manufacturers, salons and stylists. Clients include Alfaparf Milano, TIGI Bed Head (Unilever), Selective Professional and NVNT Haircare. His editorial work has appeared in INFRINGE and TUSH, including a cover.

 Alongside commissions, he photographs people and the places they work: the painter Vladimir Veličković in his studio, a small workshop in rural Wakayama, Japan, that makes hairdressing scissors, and an independent barbershop in New Cross. He brings the same patient, story-led approach to portrait commissions, brand stories and documentary projects.

He can take a project from concept and art direction through photography, motion, grading and retouching. He works just as well within a larger creative team as he does as a single point of contact. His recent work includes the campaign film NO REGRETS.
